CSBP appoints new head of Australian Vinyls
CSBP Managing Director Ian Hansen has announced the appointment of David Cooper to the role of General Manager of Australian Vinyls, effective today (25 September).

Australian Vinyls, a leading manufacturer and supplier of polyvinyl chloride resins and wood-plastic composite products located in Victoria, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of CSBP Limited, a division of Wesfarmers Limited.

Mr Hansen said Mr Cooper’s broad-ranging experience in sales, safety, process improvement and financial control would bring an effective blend of operational and commercial expertise to the role.

“Mr Cooper has worked in the industrial chemicals sector for more than 20 years and holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical Engineering) from RMIT,” Mr Hansen said.

“General Manager (New Zealand) with National Starch and Chemical from October 1998, Mr Cooper was appointed Managing Director (Australia and New Zealand) in 2003.”

“Prior to this, Mr Cooper held a range of key managerial roles.”

“I look forward to working with Mr Cooper as we move the Australian Vinyls business forward.”

Mr Hansen said that Mr Cooper’s appointment came as Australian Vinyls General Manager – Commercial, Mark Scatena prepared to move across to the Coles liquor business to take on the role of General Manager – Commercial.
